Spring and summer see the Val Montjoie become a colourful and peaceful haven, ideal for complete relaxation or to enjoy the many activities available in the village. Twisting in and out of the pine forest, alongside the lovely Bon Nant river, a pretty path leads you to the natural park area. Here are 8 championship tennis courts, adventure courses, rock climbing school, horse riding, donkey rides, archery, golf driving and mini-golf, with a bar and restaurant overlooking a small swimming and boating lake.

Exciting activities such as rafting and paragliding are available close by. St Gervais, 10 minutes away, has an open-air swimming pool. Chamonix, Megève, Annecy, Mont Blanc Tramway and the breathtaking Aiguille du Midi cable car are all within easy reach of the village by car.

The Michelin Green Guide (French Alps) refers to Les Contamines as “one of the most pleasant and restful resorts in the Mont Blanc Massif”. It is classified as “Worth a journey. In summer, the resort is an exceptionally fine hiking and mountaineering centre”.
